About Our FMC Accredited Self-Employed Mediator Opportunities

A continuous supply of online family mediation work with both private and legally aided clients due to our national reach, connections and marketing.
Administrative assistance from our Mediation Support Team
Access to an in house PPC plus our community of mediators with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience.
A child-focused model of mediation with the opportunity to practice Child Inclusive Mediation or access our CIM qualified mediators within the team for collaboration on your cases.
To work for us on a self-employed basis where you earn 40% of the fees earned.

What we would expect of you:
- FMC Family Mediation Accreditation
- Commitment to the Mediation First ethos and standards of working - further details can be provided on request.
- Ideally you would be working for Mediation First for at least 2 days a week (a minimum of 16 hours). We are happy to fit around your commitments and so these hours can be split across as many days of the week as you would like – or even weekends/evenings if you would prefer.
About Our Mediators Working Towards Accreditation (WTAs)
Mediation First is currently working with several mediators who have completed the Family Mediation Council’s foundation training and are working towards achieving their accreditation. We are able to provide in house PPC services along with a plentiful supply of observations and cases to use a part of their portfolio.
Unfortunately, Mediation First does not currently have any opportunities for those that have completed their Foundation Training and are looking for observations/experience for portfolios to complete their accreditation. However, please feel free to email through your CV/experience to directors@mediationfirst.co.uk, as we may have future opportunities.
About Our Trainee Mediators
Mediation First has a graduate trainee programme that takes aspiring graduates, typically with a Law degree, from start to finish in becoming an accredited family mediator. You would start in our Mediation Support Team, progressing on to the Family Mediation Council’s foundation training. We would cover all of the expenses of training, membership of relevant organisations and other expenses with full support from our in house professional practice consultant (PPC) with the expectation of you taking on your own case load after two years of joining us.
Unfortunately our trainee mediator programme is full currently, however, please feel free to submit your CV and experience to directors@mediationfirst.co.uk and we will keep you on file for when our current cohort of trainees have progressed.
