Anna Keat

Mediator

Anna Keat family mediator

Anna obtained a law degree from Bristol University and qualified as a solicitor in 1994. After many years working as a family solicitor (mostly in South West London and Surrey), she trained as a mediator with Family Mediators Association in 2013, and built up her mediation practice, combining it with her legal practice. She obtained her accreditation with the Family Mediation Council in 2020.

As time went on, she realised that she wanted to move away from her legal practice and focus purely on mediation as she finds it a more positive, practical, and constructive way to resolve family issues.

She now focuses solely on family mediation, working with separating or separated couples, and facilitating them to reach their own bespoke solutions in a safe and child-focused way. She helps couples (whether formerly married or cohabiting) to find a way forward, enabling them to retain control of the process in a cost-effective manner. Often, they need to discuss financial settlements and arrangements for their children. She can use her many years of experience as a family solicitor to guide couples through the mediation process and give appropriate legal information where necessary.

Anna is also qualified in child inclusive mediation. She has seen the many benefits of talking to children and including them where appropriate in the mediation process.

Her patience, guidance on process and gentle understanding were hugely appreciated and have resulted in real breakthrough in a compromise for our children.

Anna Keat does not blow her own trumpet but just gets on with it and will resolve cases you thought were impossible
